| Arbutin | • Works by slowly releasing hydroquinone over time, inhibiting tyrosinase, the key enzyme responsible for melanin production.
• Blocks melanin synthesis by inhibiting tyrosinase activity, thus preventing the appearance of brown spots on the skin. • Much milder and safer alternative to hydroquinone: it works in a similar way due to its molecular structure, but without irritation or toxicity.
